@asanwal Upper-classmen housing has been continuously renovated for more space (most recently Adams/Lowell/Winthrop). But significant increases in capacity will only come from shifting away from the Yard (which has been the center of the University for its entire history) and more HES.

@asanwal You can take the same classes online/via the extension school. And yes, they are building a lot more. Harvard and Radcliffe merged in 1999 with new dorms. The real constraint is really just space in the Yard (and Harvard has been buying Hotels to expand Yard-adjacent).
