Multi-modal will look different. The plasticity of brain regions only goes to show that it will be possible to "transformerize" vision and video to an extent. The consistent specialization of brain regions across people show that this not optimal.

I like the ui of 4o-canvas better but o1-mini is clearly better at writing code (compared to claude as well imo). Underrated is that I had to formalize all of my agents/pipelines/inputs for some definitions for some maths stuff, and this formalization improved coding a lot
